Fixed vs Movable Furniture

So speaking of the old days...Campers were designed for a family, but today there is a lot of retirees and single/couples on the road, so the need to sleep 4 or 6 just isn't a key feature.

I just tore out the dinette in the Vintage MH that converted to a bed.
My plan now is to put in a portable table and fold-up chairs is a better way.
Folded up the inside has SO MUCH MORE ROOM, felt so crowded before.
And can just take it all outside too.

So I am open to suggestions on how to make a table or which ones would work well. A walmart folding table is just too cheap.

Also I started the destruction to get out the 70's harvest gold shag carpet (in the bathroom too) which went in first, then all the built-ins screwed in (see above).
I am wondering if I can just paint the plywood floor, maybe with some epoxy paint and use some throw rugs and matts. So easy to remove and clean and easy to change-up the colors once in a while.

I love the idea of modular changeable sizable.. I’ve been in more than one camper when an outing suddenly gets rained out only to. Find there was not near room for hanging out but everyone could’ve slept…. A space that could be opened up where we all could hang out then those staying could still sleep. The convertible dinette is one setup I’d keep(or rebuild better) as it’s versatile.

Biggest thing to me about modular or portable furniture would be se urging it for travel and least rattling . .. my home living room is made of modular furniture that I can reconfigure at will but the room is big and it never has to travel.

I did notice that the dinette seat that faces forward with its back to the fridge, had seat belt attachments on the floor. So you can secure the kids in back.
This won't be possible with moveable chairs.

The plan at the moment is to attach a shallow table to the wall that hinges down, so now it is more like a bar table that looks out the window. To add another sleep, we can do what we do with a tent, use inflatable matress for extra sleep space.

Something like this but different as it will fold down.

And then maybe one of these fold-up coffee tables in front of the couch.
I have one in my house, we called it the 'cool table'. The key is has storage inside, which is lost after removing the dinette seats. And it can double as a bench seat too if needed.

Just remember that movable furniture needs to be fixed.
