frames

What kind of frame does a 90's skoolie have? I am assuming the are not unibody. I ask this question bcuz i would like to know how much can be done to the body. What if I replaced two windows with one, thus removing the support between the two original windows? What if I cut a 10 section out of the bs and installed a slider?

buses have had ladder frames for many years. i am assuming you are talking about the body structure.

most are made with a steel skeleton then wrapped in steel sheet. if you want a slide out, all you need is the proper supports mounted to the ladder frame and frame the "skeleton" around the hole.

A school bus is basically a truck. Everything, including the body is bolted to a frame.

Just to clarify what had already been said....
School buses have frames and are not unibody, much easier and safer to modify body.
Coaches, are monocoupe and other fancy words They are built more like airplanes. Often the skin is the structural strength and there is no frame. Modifying them is much more risky and often not advised
