GA Build Sites - Bought a bus w/o one 😳

Hi all,

I recently purchased a Chevy Express 4500 shuttle very spontaneously because I felt I couldn't pass up the cheap auction opportunity. Now I have to pick it up by the end of the week with no idea where to park it! My gf and I plan to diy the build part-time over the course of a year. Any ideas where it may be possible for us to park and work on it somewhere near Atlanta? I found a build community in Jesup, GA but 5+ hours is a little too far out. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated !

Check out neighbor.com but be prepared for some sticker shock. RV parking spots seem to be many hundreds a month in the ATL - and that's for places that probably won't let you work on a conversion.

Thanks! Never knew a service like this existed and from first glance, some of the 1st month prices on just an empty lot aren't that bad

I found an RV storage spot up in Woodstock that was cheaper than the rest. In the end, I just said screw it and p.o. my HOA. Still, the HOA fines were less than renting an apartment, and I think I can get them dropped because of COVID. Good for something, eh?

If you're in Jesup, you're nowhere near Woodstock, 261 miles away, 4.5 hrs.

Fortunately, a family member has agreed to let us use their driveway temporarily but I'd still be driving 45+ mins one way to do any work on it. Plan B is an empty lot in my neighborhood where the house was torn down years ago. I've contacted the owner, so fingers crossed. Plan C is a service like neighbor.com 😊

I misread the OP, thought you were in Jesup. Where are you? Go to the UserCP and add your location and bus info to your profile, it makes it easier to answer your questions,
