Getting rid of the bi-fold

Hi guys,

One of the projects I've added to my to-do list is to take the traditional bi-fold school bus door and making it operate as a single traditional door. I'm just curious about the paths taken to achieve this and any suggestions or pointers on getting it done as I have no access to my own metal working tools or the experience required. I'd imagine even a replica would have the same effect. The current door is in rough shape, with broken glass and it doesn't seal well at all against the bus. When it rains, water creeps in on the bottom step as well.

So yeah. Any help is appreciated, even pictures of the finished product!

I unscrewed mine, flipped the main hinge, put it back on, screwed a brace across the door, and was done. Total working time was about 30 minutes.

Wouldn't have it any other way!
