Gluing down a new rubber floor and experiencing a chemical reaction.

I work for a school district in Missouri. Currently, we are replacing one of the floors in a bus. we are to the point of gluing down the floor. However, we keep getting a 3.5 to 4 ft long bubble in the mat and then on the oppisite site a few little bubbles. Would anyone know of some easy solutions to this reaction without taking up the floor and regluing? Thanks in advance for the advice.

You should try to contact the manufacture of the rubber mat and ask them what kind of adhesives it requires.

Does the floor have any chemical residue on it ? Like solvents ?

Are you attempting to glue a new mat to factory plywood? Or did you remove the plywood and you're now gluing the mat to the metal floors? More details on what mat material you're applying, what adhesive you're using, and what material you are applying the mat to and what prepping you've done on it would help.

You could pop the bubble. Use a needle or finish nail or very small drill bit to make a hole at the edge of the bubble and push the air out starting from the other side of the bubble, working the new surface down to flush, possibly with a roller.

I’m curious what glue you used
