Grey is the New White

Most all RVs are painted white. Skoolies seem to prefer light blue.
But what about Grey? It is a trending color now for new cars, I am not sure if I like it or not, but thinking of painting the MH this color instead of white just to be different and 'trendy'. What you think?

I'm fond of gray. The wife and I have agreed upon painting our skoolie a slate or charcoal gray shade when we get to that stage.

Love that grey, unfortunately I think on a bus you will be mistaken for a prisoner transport. Maybe that's ok and the public will stay back

Looks too much like a battleship on anything large, imo.

I plan to put some 'nike swoosh' things to break it up. I was actually thinking of squares kinda pixelating, but determined it doesn't fit with rounded corner windows and hatches.

Do you think I would get in trouble if I put a doggy on the side of the MH?
We had a whippet actually, sweet dogs.

There's a food truck here in Philly named "Aladdin's" and they actually have the characters from the animated film painted on the side. If Disney ain't coming after them, you should be OK with your doggy.

My truck is GM Greystone Metallic (I love the truck). My boat is GM Arctic White ( I love the boat). My camper is a pile of poop white aluminum-clad penalty box...

My oldest girl is 14 and fading fast. She will be prominently featured on my bus if I ever get one.

Pick a colour.....any colour. I went light green and white....but as the shop explained ; all genuine colours are more expensive than black / white or grey. Look at all new cars in the last decade.........the manufacturers are saving $50 per car ( multiplied by millions ) by not spending on actual colours .

Black / white or grey kind of has a deeply dulling ...numbing effect on society as a whole....which is also curious that it has been accepted so universally in an age when some citizens feel a mask is an attack on their freedoms.

Don't paint it a color you aren't sure you like. Why would you?

IMO skoolies are all about "I gotta be me; trendiness is for sheeple." That's as mean as I'm gonna get, and I've got my own biases against gray.

If you really like gray whether it's in style or not, go for it. It's also good to seek our advice, as good paint doesn't come cheap.

Hello everyone! I just read some of the comments about the Grey/Gray paint on a Skoolie. After I washed my bus, I primed it with 12 cans of light grey/gray spray paint and indeed, it looks like a US Navy battleship, an Airforce 1940s airplane and for sure, a Penitentiary Bus. (Smiles) however, after 2 years and rolling, I really love it BUT I have plans to paint the entire bus with paint brushes an entire landscape with hills, trees, bears and sunrise and sunset motives. Hey! Is your Skoolie and your money, just feel free and follow your guts and desires. Good luck!

Yeeeeeaaaaaa . . . NO! If black is the absence of light (color) then gray is - about the same. If you like color then pick a color. If you don't like color then - pick black - or gray. On the other hand if you like black or gray then go for it - just benimble. Just be careful jumping over candle sticks.
