Gulf Coast Hurricane Laura...

Hope nobody is still in the landfall zone in Louisiana, or anywhere in the path of this powerful storm...

Stay safe if you happen to be anywhere near it...

We seldom get much from the storms. This one is going to come north and then east above Ga. We'll probably gets some weather on the back side of this storm.

They are talking a 20' storm surge as far as 40 miles inland.

Just typical media sensationalism.

If you stay home, tell us with pics the reality. They say this will be one of the worst storms to hit in awhile.

Personally I'm interested in how skoolie-dwellers in some of the affected regions will manage during it all.

Wouldn't a skoolie-dweller be in the right vehicle to get the f**k out before it hits. Wouldn't need a 20' surge to bury the bus.

No doubt there'll be a surge, just not 40 miles inland. Here in Biloxi, no need to leave, not close enough for that.

In an election year, a good crisis should never go to waste, so I'm sure coverage will be overly ambitious.

To anyone in the path, be safe, for sure.
