We cut our lift in half and made it wider put a harbor freight motorcycle dolly on the lift arms and i raise my Harley road king up on the back of the bus.

The other end leads to a battery, find the other end, disconnect it and then wrap both ends with electrical tape. If there are clamps or retainers that secure the, now useless, cable. You can now undo them all and slip the cable out of the bus. Copper is expensive and recyclable, don't lose your money!
