Hot? Need a 12 volt fan?

Recently I found that Walmart has 10" 12 volt fans for only $11. They run off 8 D sized batteries or they have a jack on the side for external power. They seem to move plenty of air for their size and price. I now have two, on one I just use a power cord that plugs into a cigarette lighter and put in the window and the other I will be mounting in my roof vent (making it removable). I don't know if every Walmart carries them but Amazon and Target sell them online (among other places) but at a higher price.

Re: Hot? Need a 12 volt fan?

I'd love to get a hold of a few more of the big metal electric defroster fans my bus has in the front. I have them turned to blow on me and (in the words of Elliot Naess) they blow like a herd of turbochargers.

How about a dash mounted Taurus fan?

Forget the Taurus fan. How about a way to extend the exhaust pipe above the roof? I think I'll drive to the nearest lake (that has water in it) and go submarineing. It was 106 in the shade here today. If August continues like it is with no rain they say that we'll break the all time weather records...

I have used the defroster fans in most my Ice Cream Trucks and they are great. You can find them at you local RV dealer for just $28-35. Alot cheaper than that website. I plan on getting around 8 for my bus.
