Yes we were hoping for a deal but ended up at about fair auction value from what I've learned from y'all. Very glad I made this post, everyone here helped us to make the decision that this was our bus. Here's a link to a few unorganized pictures for now!

DT466E 's are more common in IC shorties after 04 since the T44E was discontinued at that point.

I would take an 2005-2007 DT466 if it was in nice enough shape and low miles. They have a decent rep for emission-era engines. Small EGR cooler that can be plugged or deleted without too much trouble.

Found a few threads on trucking forums where the box truck guys were able to delete their 05-07 DT466E's.

DT's in shorties aren't uncommon for any year range. The VT365 was ushered in to replace the 444.

Nice lookin' bus. If you have room to store it, I highly doubt you'll mind having more time to start thinking and building!
(And remember, you didn't have the added expense of flying to OR and driving it back...)

Is the wheelchair lift an added bonus (loading tools/toys?) or something you'll have to remove?

True, but it seems like IC didn't sell nearly as many VT365's as they did DT466s after the T444E was gone.

Those pushers with the WC lift in the middle are odd. Don't see them very often and it defenitely makes for an interesting floor plan if you plan on using it for a motorcycle lift or garage area.

Date code the trans was 01/06 so from what I've gathered I will not be able to flash it.

Yes there where 6-7 other buses up from the same district all IC mix of midsized and full sized, all with DT466. Most where Maxxforce's and in rough same compared to ours.

Ya I've read a lot of mix things on the egr delete if it's worth it etc....mostly from truck or diesel truck forums. Seems like they they don't cause much of an issue. Luckily this bus dated 07 was put into service March 1st 06. So there is no DPF which I've learned is when the issues seem to really start with the last of the DT's.

Yeah, I would avoid all "Maxxforce" branded DT466Es. I think those started coming out around 2008 or 2009.

The wheel chair lift was actually just serviced as well and is actually located 14 in forward from the rear wall of the bus... Considering the condition, we are actively trying to come up with a way to utilize it.

It looks like it's in the perfect spot if part of your build was a "garage space" for heavy items.

I read this morning that Navistar just agreed to a $137 million settlement to compensate the victims of the Maxxforce engines.

And that's why Cummins is now the only diesel option on IC buses.

Navistar is IC Bus. You're extra ****** when the account you lose is yourself.

I definitely want one, but I'm worried that the shipping would be astronomical.
