How is this drivetrain?

2000 International RE with VT365 and allison 545... Good combo? Would want to be able to tow. Thanks in advance.

a year 2000 wont have a VT365. it would likely be a T-444E.. AN AT545 was never mated to a VT365. the AT545 is not a great towing transmission. a T-444e is a great short bus motor but not a great Towing or full size bus motor

Since you want to tow get a straight six and lockup.

I have a 2002 International RE t444e with a Allison MD-3060 and I pulled a 2003 dodge caravan just fine and got just under 11 mpg 63 mph speed limiter

the MD3060 is why... do you have the 230 HP version ofthe 444E?
the 230's and 250's paired with an allison 3000 make a pretty decent combo

its not the original engine at the school they swapped it out and put in a higher hp engine but the tag on the valve cover is 195 hp I talked to a shop and they said "its in the ECM that sets that not only the engine" I don't know if that's true but I will fine out soon when I take it to them to get it reset they said they can remove some of the limiters like the rpm limiter ...ect
