I heard that diesel is more the gas in the USA? Im getting ichy to get back to work on the bus, but there just so much snow, and its been -33 to -38 for the past 3 weeks, then we get hit with snow!!! I WANT OUT OF HERE!!

o well , just getting cabin fever, I feel better after I snow blow the drive way AGAIN

tks

Diesel is about $3.49/g in my area. I saw $3.89/g in S.F. a couple of weeks ago.

Re: how much diesel fuel?

I buy fuel every other day all over the US. Prices for tax exempt semi run fro $3.16 to $3.40 for the last few months. Arizona is I think cheaper for non commercial. Go figure.

Re: how much diesel fuel?

$3.28 last night at Isleta Pueblo (both gas stations) on I-25 Exit 215 just S of Albuquerque. But here in Socorro, it's higher, except at the Valero (cheapest place is Roberts but not good place to get fuel or so we have been told).

Blue Ridge, Blairsville, Hiawassee & Ellijay always have higher gas prices. That's why I either refueled in Dalton or in Clayton or Rabun Gap!

Re: how much diesel fuel?

The instability in Eygpt is causing a price spike in crude. A hundred bucks a barrel at the moment. And the cold weather in the East was driving the price of diesel up before Eygpt. We're headed for the dreaded $5.00 a gallon price, just like the summer of '08.

On my bus, that's 62 cents per mile for fuel.

Re: how much diesel fuel?

1.16$/l around here, gas and diesel, it'll probably rise to around 1.25$/l on thursday (pay day...) it'll probably get back at +/- 1.16 next monday or tuesday.

Fuel is cheaper on the indian rez near us , around 1.08$/l for gas and 1.05$/l for diesel (cash only), might be cheaper depending how "deep" you drive in the reserve. Smokes are also much cheaper on the rez, probably 30%-35% of the price you'd pay on "white people" territory, but that's another story.

Just saw $3.65 in suburban Philly today. I try to buy in NJ (between .20 and .40 cheaper) when I can.

Re: how much diesel fuel?

Low-Lead in Upstate NY on Friday ranged from a low of $3.27/gallon at the Pilot truckstop to around $3.43, with the average around $3.35/gallon.
Add a quarter at "Mayberry" stations in the mountains, miles from Interstates and the tank farms by the Hudson or Mohawk Rivers.

Diesel at the Pilot Friday was $3.81/gallon cash, $3.95/gallon credit.

Propane has also been high in Eastern New York this year, because the east end of the pipeline has been shut down since August. A problem in the pipes was located right near where a pipeline leak and explosion blew a village center off the map about 20 years ago. The two terminals near New England were shut down, so instead of a one or two-hour drive each way, tanker trucks have to drive four to six hours each way to fill up in Central New York.
