How much rust is too much

Hey all,

I’m looking for a bus and I’m having a hell of a time figuring out how much rust is too much. I’ve read that surface level rust is ok but not if you can poke something and it falls off. Any helpful hints??

Some I’ve looked at here and I’m feeling totally lost finding one completely rust free.

The pictures are all different busses.

Looks real good to me. You aren't going to find a rust free bus unless its new. I live in the rust belt and that would be considered rust free here in Ohio.

The frame is not the part you have to worry about, its the stringers that are sandwiched between the frame and the floor, if they are sound (no holes) you should be ok
