hyrdro boost and power steering leak

I have a 1996 dt466 international 3800 after getting caught in a rut I overworked the power steering resulting in a heavy loss of steering fluid. near the top of steering box near input shaft their is a pipe plug with a hole where fluid is leaking from called ih dealer and sez there is an over pressure vale under plug.. bought new one and it is identicle to old one but cannot get either to seat to stop fluid.. is there some kind or seat that has to match the end of valve??? any help will

could not see into valve seat so took cell phone camera and found debris around part of valve seat have to make adapter for shop vac hopfully this will fix problem also plan to change filter Charlie
