Re: hyundia generator
They are a little noisy, but that's how most open frame generators are. They are just like most Chinese made generators. They work well, but don't expect them to be as quiet as the inverter type generators like a Honda or Yamaha. I use a similar type generator in the mountains and I found that putting it behind the wood pile helps muffle some of the direct noise from it. It is usually not the exhaust that is loud, but more the intake and actual mechanical noise.

Re: hyundia generator
well I got a generator, taded a guy my stilh brush saw(could'nt sell) for a 5500watt 11 hp homelite generator, this thing is big!! looks like a dump truck beside my 2500 generator. And its loud sounds like a norsemen airplane !! anyway, Im going to see if I can find a muffler and see if I can muffel it abit, if I can, and it sounds better, ill take it out of its frame and mount it in a sound proof box under the bus, if not Ill sell it , it should sell , I could't sell the brush saw. will see what happens

Re: hyundia generator
Well, looks like you already have a genny, but if you're shopping again i like my Champion 3500W. Fairly quiet for it's size, and big enough to run a 15000BTU A/C. Lots of good reviews. Cabela's sell them, and many auto parts stores also carry them. Wait 'til they have a sale!

I seen those champion gennys at canadian tire, they look pretty good. I have a 2500 ECHO genny as well its quiet, has a made in japan robin motor real nice, but a bit small, this homelite is just to loud, when I have the tie ill see if I can put a muffler on it, If I really needed a generator I would buy a off brand, yes the hondas are the kings, but lets face it, you can buy 3 champions to 1 honda! also its not like your running them 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
