I learned the hard way about applying elastomeric

So I bought a five gallon bucket of Sherwin-Williams Kool seal. The stuff works pretty well. It's blindingly white and reflective which is a good thing. Problem is it works way too well, here's what I mean. So I figured the easiest way to put on Kool seal would be to put on a nice thick glob with a T Bar. I was totally wrong. The Tea Bar Method proved amazing however what I should have done was put on a thin first coat to allow for the residual roof Heat to help Bond the sealant to the roof and allow for later absorption, due to all the zinc particles, to speed up drying. Unfortunately in my case I had the roof painted by 11 in the afternoon and by 6 at night it was still partially wet. I had to spend the whole night waking up every 2 hours and hosing down the white dripping elastomeric sealant off of my brand new paint job. Learn from my lesson don't try to cheat the system.
