Just talked to the P.A. and asked about flying, they've already talked about driving, but I didn't ask about flying till now. 4 weeks before they clear me, due to not being able to lift baggage into the overhead bins and such. I'm taking a small carry on,as my plan is to get off the plane, drive to the yard, get in the bus and head straight back home. Don't need a change of clothes or anything. If I really start going batty not having my bus here at least. I may see if someone is available in my budget to get it here. I may not be able to work on it, but I can sit in it and visualize the build process.

One of the nice things about dealing with schools is that, in general, they are staffed by very nice people. Sure you can meet the occasional jerk, but by-and-large, if you are being honest with them they will treat you well.

So, after coming out of surgery and feeling like someone ran over me with my Skoolie and then parked it on my chest, I realize it will be some time before I can recover the bus from Piedmont,Ok. and bring it home to north Georgia. If anyone nearby is able to help me out I will cover all expenses. I don' have to worry about any HOA's here. My front yard is fine. I'd rather have it in front of me while I recuperate so I can at least measure and plan stuff before actually diving in and starting work.

Cheers glad to hear things went well. My father had a triple bypass almost 20 years ago and his recovery time was a few weeks of being able to do very very little but his strength and mobility did return.

Yes, exactly, you probably feel a LOT like a rock star the morning after! I partied with the Ramones in Athens one night after a concert and the next morning they totally couldn't even find Johnny and they needed to leave for the next gig.... Can't say I was terribly surprised when he died. I'm more surprised that Keith Richards is still alive.

It won't be long before we have to start worrying about what kind of world we are leaving for Keith Richards.

Someone asked me recently why with all the celebrity deaths in 2016 that Keith hadn't gotten to his end. I told them he has, just nobody wants to tell him.
Laid up in bed last Sat. I saw a British Band Tribute on PBS with Joe Bonamassa. I couldn't get on line fast enough after the show to see when they are playing here and bought tickets, and the double CD from the concert. You know what will be rocking in the bus as we build.

There were a couple I would have liked to, but they were both married or fianceed, and 35 years younger, but that wouldn't stop me..

Okay, I've booked a second flight to OKC for the 17th to retrieve my bus on the 18th. I started my cardiac rehab today at a local gym because the hospitals CR program wanted me to go to the hospital 30 miles away, 3 times a week for an hour and a half at $260 per session for 12 weeks($9360). I don't think so, can do the same thing at the local gym for $79 down and $29/m. Wish there was a Planet Fitness closer than 20 miles away at $10 down, $5/m. The local gym is 2.1 miles from me, so I can ride my bicycle there and get an added 4 miles to my work out.
