Yes there WILL be LOtS of hills! I just got done driving it yesterday as a matter of fact and there are a LOT of hills. The real problem is the frost heave humps and dips in the road that you just HAVE to slow down for. These tend to inhabit the bottoms of ravines and therefore kill any hope of maintaining speed up the other side. If you have a lot of time and are really down with doing almost anything to your ride on the side of a road then it can be safely done no problem.

Thank you for the advice. How did your bus do and how did it handle the hill both up and down?

I was northbound. I must admit I was not in my bus but, I was towing around 7,000lbs in a pretty full truck. All the while I was guaging things for how they migh be in the bus. I'm hoping to get back to Colorado for my bus in the fall. I'm thinking of possibly putting her on the ferry to Haines and cutting a whole lot out of the trip. Quite exspensive for a thirty footer though! Probably all the better to drive her. The section right before the border on the canadian side is just plain ridiculous!.....if the excavator can make it then it ought to be all-right for drivin'! Frost heave would probably keep me in the 40mph range for like a day and a half's worth of travel. The overall road was better than it was ten yrs ago but I sort of expected that.
