Re: Im 6'2" what should I do!!!!

I'm 6'4" and still have 1" clearance in my hightop Thomas body in the center, and thats after adding 3/4" of flooring. Stock roof height on the Thomas high roof buses is 6'6" without flooring. If I end up installing a shower, it will be a sitting shower. Cooking will not be a problem. Rooftop AC unit might end up being an obstacle but I'm still brainstorming on that one. Ceiling height was a deal-breaking criteria in my bus search. I ended up traveling 700 miles to get the one I wanted.

You will be standing a minimum of 24 inches away from the side of the bus when cooking... ans bear in mind, with a center aisle floorplan, you will not be standing too close to the sidewalls for much. As for showering... perhaps a raised/domed skylight over the shower area... or step down into the floor. Much as I hate the skylight idea, if it were me I would do the skylight over the stepdown. And you would also need a raised/domed skylight over the toilet.. unless you sit to pee. Luckily David & I are both a bit short so the roof height is fine. I did not want to do a roof raise.

Re: Im 6'2" what should I do!!!!

I'm 6'2" as well and I have had an OLD bus for quite a while. It's a 1964 Superior Coach Supercruiser.....the key is, it's a pusher. Anything with a center engine or a driveshaft that has to run all the way back is going to have a bit less headroom. I have about 6'4" of headroom in the center and, it's a "center-aisle conversion. As for the shower, I can just stand straight up in it and use a handheld shower-massage type nozzle....works great!

While I love my schoolie, I'd look at an actual coach conversion or, if you shop around, you can find VERY reasonably priced Prevost Coaches without slideouts that are absolutely beautiful!

Good luck!!!
