Interior dimensions - Wayne bodies

Calling all Wayne owners:

I'm interested in converting a Wayne skoolie and am looking for info for planning ahead (to develop the interior design and to buy the right bus for my plans).

What is the interior ceiling height (standard, before roof raising)?
What is the interior width?
What is the typical on-center space between the "studs" (middle on either side of window)? I know window width can vary, but average can be a useful guide.
How high is the window sill above the floor?
How wide is the main entry door? Emergency door?
What is the length x width x hight of the rear wheel housings?

I already have info on chassis length, body length behind cowl, and wheelbase.

If you own another brand but wish to answer anyway, you're welcome to do so, but I'm especially interested in hearing about older Waynes (both Lifeguard and ca. 1970 pre-Lifeguard models).

Update: since posting this question, I found a Wayne brochure on eBay, showing that the Lifeguard body was available with 6'-1" and 6'-5" ceiling heights. Comparing the illustrations with what I've seen on the road, most have the lower ceiling. Another catalog from 1968 indicates that the high-ceiling model used to have a generous 6'-7" height (Again, a rare model).

Incidentally, my avatar is an altered photo showing a standard Lifeguard with a virtual roof raise with about six to eight inches added above the windows.

I would still appreciate feedback from Wayne owners regarding the other dimensions. If I get more info myself, I'll be sure to post it.

I'm so glad you decided to answer a 9 year old question! I'm buying a 1988 wayne s1853 and haven't laid eyes on it yet. I'm going to build a race car hauler and I'm trying to get measurements to plan the rear door/ramp setup. I was thinking or cutti g the back half off but I think I can fit cars inside without doing that. How high is it floor to where the roof starts to curve over? Floor to ground out the back? Rear wall to fender center(40')?

Straight section of wall is about 62" tall, floor to ground around 40"

Guessing I did a search for Wayne

Wheel well dimensions.. L - 44" W - 24.75" H - 8.5"
Floor to rear roof curve. center - 72"
........16 inches from side walls - 70"

Floor to ground center of rear door with 11 x 22.5 tires - 42.5"

My bus is just a little under 35' wheelbase is 254"

Rear wall to rear of wheel well - 99"
Rear wall to center of wheel well - 122"

Awesome! Thanks!! I want to put a folding door/ramp on the back. I imagine there is a pretty substantial structure around the rear door? There is like a 2" steel tube inner structure under the body skin right?

I think you'll find none of it is tubular, it is a hat channel, open on one side with flanges for rivets. The frame work around the rear door is not near as substantial as you might think.
