Interior roof & Flasher removal

Calling out to the Bus GURU'S What's up with the roof on the inside? Over the drivers area the roof is skinned with a perforated liner and a 6" (approx) vent. Does the vent have to stay? Why the different material from the rest of the bus? I want to make a headliner and cover this but not sure if there will be a condensation problem or what.

Has anyone removed all the wiring, flashers, relays from their bus? I want to get rid of all uneccessary wiring and switches. There is a buttload for wiring behind the main panel with what I think are relays. Not sure where the flasher units are located. Are those lights all 12 volt or 24 volt?

The "acoustic panel" makes sense. I have it only over the drivers area. I'll be covering in with a plastic vapor barrier and a headliner. The electrical is another matter. It looks as though there had been updates made in the console I.e. side stop sign. It is a bundle of sheit when you open up the electrical panel. Think I'll just jump right in and ask a lot of questions after nothing works
