International with spicier 5 speed?

Still looking for a conventional short bus, last one fell through. I know that the Allison 5t5 is just a 1to1 what year did they go to the newer allisons? also saw a International with a 5 speed spicier, is the manual a overdrive tranny or is 5th a 1to1 ratio?

There are some manual 5-speeds that have 5th OD instead of direct. The vast majority of them are direct and OD would be very unusual.

The upgrade to the 1000/2000/3000 series was staggered and didn't really follow model years very closely. The AT/MT/HT series were still an option until after model year 2000.

You won't find the electronically controlled transmissions behind mechanically controlled engines but you can find electronically controlled engines with mechanically controlled transmissions.

Thanks, sounds like you have to go on a bus by bus basis.
