Is a vent free propane fireplace an option?

I realize now that a conversion is not ever "complete" but we are enjoying our rig. "Vanderbus" is looking much better than we ever thought it would. We are considering a vent free fireplace to give us some warmth and save on the amp draw. There are numerous models at Lowes/Home Depot that resemble fireplaces and could be quite attractive. Plumbing the gas should not be too hard. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Perhaps running the roof ac on low fan? Or maybe the Bedroom Window unit on low/fan/exhaust would provide circulation enough?

just more thinking out loud....

I used to use a propane cataylitic heater in a camper van when I went up skiing. 15 degrees F, the thing did fine, kept a window cracked open. In the morning the inside of the windows were sheets of ice.
