Just bought our bus....and have my first (of many questions)

Hi All,

We just purchased our bus a 2012 International. "Gus" is in New Mexico, and has been her entire life (yay no rust). We are in Seattle and will be transporting it up in a few weeks. It's currently housed at Border International - Las Cruces, NM. The manager is willing to do some prep work for us before we retrieve it.

Can anyone offer advice of the things we should do other than seat removal?

Flooring? Anything else?

Thanks in advance for the many many questions I'll be asking!

All the best, Kat

Welcome

Welcome to skoolie.net!
Glad to have you.

Tell us more about your International....
Which model bus?
What engine?

Maybe another member, with the same, will chime in with information specific to your rig.

Nice

Nice looking paint on your rig.

Premium a/c & factory tint, too. The forehead & driver's window show it has high ceilings.

What are you going to do with that bus, Micradot?

You might ask them about a full engine inspection and servicing.

A lot of folks start stripping wiring and discover that they screwed up an interlock that keeps the engine from starting. You might see if they can get rid of the interlocks for you.

Edit-I may have read it to imply that the title was not in the sellers name. Disregard.

Ruth and I lived in Thier parking lot for a month while we waited for parts. We do our Boondocking and building, at Freedom Field, Deming New Mexico. Just about 45miles from there.
Good choice buying a New Mexico bus. No Need to rip up the floor. You will want to fill to holes where the seat bolts were. They are a great place for bugs to get in when you are Boondocking.

Super lookin rig!!!

So when we get our rig done and on the road, if my calcs are right and our OEM A/C's ripped out bus is nice and cool going down the road..... I'm gonna need your address so I know where to send the crow and the GoPro to record it's consumption.
If I'm wrong, I have my own camera gear, but I'll tell you where to send the crow.
