Just got buggered!

I just got raped! My insurance got whittled down to $104/mo last month. This month, I got notice that my monthly recurring payment will now be $150.44, effective 5 Nov.

wow

State Farm hooked me up for just over $300 for 6 months. Liability + comprehensive. No collision.

I thought I was paying too much!

I pay $1600 for the year on my E450 shorty that's fully insured as a commercial vehicle right now. Not converting until next year.

The bus isn't insured. The Suburban is. I got a quote from Progressive for $62 per month. Guess which one I'm going with.

Progressive

I just insured my "New to Me" bus through Progressive. It's a 35 footer with a dog nose. I registered it (in Washington State) as a non commercial passenger vehicle and got the same type of license plate as a passenger car.

Progressive charged me $331.00 for the year for 500/250/100 liability and $500 deductible comprehensive. I didn't get collision as it's a $3000 bus. I may add collision when it's done and appraised. I do have uninsured and under insured coverage along with basic medical. My insurance card clearly states "Converted School Bus" so Progressive must be familiar with our vehicles. Neither of my two auto insurance carriers would write a policy for the bus.
