After my experience with the roof caulking (check my thread) I'd use roof caulking on the inside and paintable caulking on the outside to leave a cleaner, more paintable surface on the outside. Just my thought. Oh yeah, before caulking be sure there is no corrosion or rust on the panels. Use a rustproofing primer if you need to remove rust and start at the bare metal.

Hi there, I had the same problem with one of my windows, when I took the insulation out I could tell that the water was coming in from the window on the outside and coming down inside the wall and coming out between the seams on top of the seat rail. Hope that makes sense..... Leslie
