Leave No Child Behind Alarm

I have a 2006 Thomas Saf T Liner HDX. There is a buzzer that goes off when I turn the bus off that forces me to walk to the back of the bus and push a button. I need to disconnect this but know that nothing is as easy as cutting a wire with school buses. Anyone have experience with this issue?

On mine there is a white module in the driver's area. I unplugged it and haven't had a single issue. However mine only activated when the warning lights had been activated that key cycle so yours may be a little different. I don't believe this is a built in feature for the HDX regardless of year so look around for a box that says child check and just unplug it and see what happens.

my chevy shorty has the vandalock and the child check buttons front and back.
alot of that stuff was disconnected when i bought the bus so am going through that mess when i get time on the weekends.
i will look as soon as i can and can guarantee the previous owner didnt disconect the one in the back that doesnt work.
it has to be something he did to the circuits up front?
that are easy ish to get to or at least look at.
havent really bothered because they werent a problem and i am a big fan of leaving exta wiring from front to back in case one has a problem then i already have a spare?
thats an opinion.
if it is already there lying empty then if sized the same as a supposed bad wire with connections in the same area then why not?
i know i will and should get some feed back on that comment from the real sparkies on here but then again these are a remodel/repair sometimes gut and start over?
wish you good decisions
