Leveling the bus before roof raise

Alright so I got the entry door corner raised to level the bus....
Now my front right tire is 4 inches off the ground .... the back still needs to be raised .

The inside is showing level .
The bumper is way high on the side I lifted .
But the Inside is showing level?
I do need more air pressure in that tire but the stem is leaking and I already deflated the opposite side down what I think should be enough... for the circumstances ....
So should I just keep the bumper level?
Which wouldn’t be true due to suspension?
Or keep it jacked up and start cutting ?

I used a neighbor's driveway. Used bottle jacks to get it semi-level. Wasn't perfect. As long as you measure the gaps real well when doing the raise you'll be fine.

Did the outside of the bus look noticeably jacked up ? Because it’s looking pretty weird. Definitely leaning

Just level it as close as you can and don't sweat it too much.
Put a jack under the engine and support it.

Man I wish Colorado custom coachworks will at least respond to my voicemails
And emails.
I’m trying to be cool but it’s been a month since I paid 5 bills and haven’t heard back from them since . ETA was 2-3 weeks ?

Just wishing the best. I love what there doing and wish I could make the same happen for me. And know there probalay busy but damnnn I’m ready for them

Not returning a phone call is pretty sketchy. Busy or not.

I called a guy for the first time Thursday to rebuild my floor; they started yesterday and finished the demo last night and the new floor should be done today. I dunno, maybe he also doesn't return phone calls but I won't have enough time to even find out.

I called them about my roof raise. (that was before I found out how much they charge). I left a couple of voice mails and didn't hear back. Called again and he answered. I told him about my bus and asked about driving the bus down to have the roof raised. He told me that he was tied up, could he call me back?

No return call. I left a couple more voicemails. Sent a couple of emails.

Never heard from him.

He is either too busy to respond or he's a flake.

When I was getting ready for my roof raise I used bottle jacks, HD Jack stands and cribbing to level it.

When I got it nice and level I patted myself on the back for a job well done. Then I noticed that my emergency exit and baggage bay doors wouldn't open & close properly.

I set the bus back down and the doors worked fine.

After some discussion with Asetechrail we decided that the c channels for the raise would position the roof in place regardless of whether we had the bus perfectly level or a little off.

We were right. We loosely clamped four c channels adjacent the four roof jacks. Then we started cutting. When we raised with the jacks we got the gaps all within about 1/16".

Everything lined up fine.

One piece of kit that has been handy is my Smart Level.

i through level out the door. found a much simpler way. just measur from the bottom of the sheet metal to your rain lip above the windows keep that the same everything else will be true. we went near 30 inches with our lift using four hoist in a gantry crane fashion. a fellow bus builder was amazed and said he wished he had thought of it

The Smart Level is a bit different than your typical level.

You can place it on a reference point and set zero then all of your measurements are relative to your reference point.

It makes it easy to build plumb and square in a bus that is not level.

So you lifted the entire lid with those homemade gantries? Did you leave the lid connected to some kind of guidepost inside the bus to stop it fromt drifting too far out of alignment?

I’d like to see more of that. Do you have a website or anything?
