Looking for advice on IC RE rear exit window seal

Hi all,

I recently bought my 2009 IC RE300 bus, and the rear window seal is really starting to break down on the outside edge. (Photos attached - not sure how to rotate them 90 degrees to the right)

Apparently the only part available from IC is the entire window, frame, and struts at $1200!

Wondering if there is someone who had a similar problem and came up with a more cost effective way to replace the back outer seal. Or if there's an equivalent outer seal I could get and modify.

Thanks!

I used rivets and seam sealer on my back window, but that was just for the window frame itself.

How did you use these - inner side of window or outer?

I bought new struts and want to be able to open the window at night for ventilation.

Thanks!

I haven't used any of these, as my windows are thankfully okay at this point.

I just did some quick searches and threw them up as suggestions. I hope they lead you to a good solution.

I've found many times, as you have with this issue, that there is not "perfect" "ready made" solution, or if there is, it's cost prohibitive or over-kill. So, I try to search outside the box for other possible solutions.

I've also gotten some great outside the box ideas from other posters that worked as well, if not better, easier and/or less costly than the generic solution.

Look forward to hearing what you ended up using and how it worked.
