Bought an IC CE 300 2008 with a maxxforce DT, Wabco hydraulic brakes, in June from Colonial Auto Auction in Upper Marlboro MD. Drove it from there to NC with no issue. Converted it in 4 months. Has been sitting since October at International dealership due to brake issue (parking brake seems to engage while driving randomly). Dealer is struggling to find root cause (even drove it with a tech and connected laptop, issue happened on interstate, but tech could not see anything abnormal on various datas measured while it happened). Case opened with Navistar. It's been there for 4 months so far. Have not been able to go on any trip so far because of that.

Fair. I was giving some insight to RamRod4 recommendation of Colonial Auto Auction in Upper Marlboro MD. Not necessarilly a bad place, but not a good personal experience so far with the bus I bought there. Hope someone will find this useful.

To be honest, I wouldn't fault Colonial for the issue with your bus. While it is unfortunate, they likely had no idea of the issue if you were able to drive it home without any problems. Also, not saying it was your fault, but you converted the buy and then the braking issues started so it could have been something that happened during the conversion.

At the end of the day, we're buying used buses "as-is". I'm not one to fault the dealer for a bad used vehicle. It's on me to inspect thoroughly before my purchase. In this case, you bought a running driving bus and transported it without issue from MD to NC. I'd chalk it up to "s#*t happens".
