Loud noises!!!

Hi All,

I am in the early stages of my conversion and have the interior of my bus empty right now. I have taken her out on the road a few times and man it is loud in there. I know that without any furniture or anything inside to deaden the sound it may be a bit exaggerated, but I want to be able to hear the music playing or be able to hold a conversation while driving this thing.

What have you all done to reduce the noise while driving and what would you recommend if you had to do it again. It sounds like a combination of rattles and squeaks in the bus's body, wind noise, engine noise, etc. A lot of the noise seems like it is coming from the interior of the bus though.

Thanks

your expectation of having a conversation is probably too high. however, there is a product called 'dynomat' that will sure quiet down the metal panels in the bus.
i'd cover the front wheel wells and the drivers are as best as possible.

there are generic materials out there that are very similar to the dynomat.

good luck!

There's not much that's noisier than an empty bus.

Carpet and fabric will both tend to absorb noise rather than reflect it. I added some Peel & Seal (poor man's Dynamat) to the floor by the driver's seat and that helped a bit.
