Lower-wall insulation removal: Tool?

Greetings,

The only insulation left is in the lower part of the wall, behind the steel section running the length of the bus (has the seat rail on it, where the seats were attached).

The insulation in there is *really* hard to get out. I've tried several tools, but am having a really hard time.

Any suggestions?

Shop vac and a long screw driver or crowbar

Shopvac and a hook formed out of a coat hangar? Shopvac and a fork duct taped to a yardstick? I'm only being a little snarky here. What are the plans? You gonna 'seal' it up with foam? How clean does it need to be?

I dug out what I could with a crowbar, then blew out more with compressed air, scrubbed off the rest with a scotchpad attached to the aforementioned crowbar, and used a gift wrap tube taped to a vacuum to get the rest out.
You probably still won't get all of it though. My bus's wall had some sticky black substance in it that the fiberglass stuck to.

We spent a LONG time removing all that black stuff. Its called "asphalteum".
