luxury in-floor heating

With the floor finally up in my bus, I'm thinking ahead to winter. I found this roll of "in-floor-heating" from Northern Tool and wondered if anyone else is using it?

It's not cheap, but not super expensive either. I figure with two rolls of it placed down the center aisle, it would help keep the central traffic area nice for the feet (especially if it has some radiant insulation under it to direct the heat upward.

At 120 volts / 3 amps / 360 watts, would that be a tremendous power drain on a battery system? Just looking for some ideas before I start laying down flooring.

Well depends on how much cold weather you'll be in. As well as your floor plan. Ours is a very open plan. I have an 80,000 btu propane shop heater that will melt the paint in minutes... quick heat get it warm. Then use the propane grill I'll install for heat.

Re: luxury in-floor heating

As cold as the floor in my bus got last winter, one (or more) of those would have come in very handy. And at only 3amps per unit, I could have run a few of them as I had plenty of power available for it. I went and book marked it for furture reference...
