Midship Heater Removal (worried about electrical?)

Hello Skoolie Nation.

We are working on a school bus library project and the midship heater is a little different than our home bus build. As you can see by the pictures/video there are 4 electrical wires powering the complete midship heater unit (including a pump in the middle?). Tracing those wires back to the main electrical panel has proven to be a challenge as the wires at the panel are quite a “rats nest”.

My main question is can I just clip those wires and cap them off given the fact we won’t be using it?

I understand the process of closing the coolant line valve under the engine compartment before cutting the pipes and routing them back into each other, my main concern is cutting the electrical wires.

It looks like they are just feed wires from the harness, so yes, shouldn't affect anything else if you choose to snip them.

Don't use wire nuts, use a crimp connector though, just to be safe.

I am not a proponent of looping coolant lines, as some will disagree, dead head is the right way in my mind. If you took the lines completely off the engine would you loop them.....no....you would plug the holes in the engine with pipe plugs.
