Well, (&^%*(, I missed out on a bus that might have suited me perfectly - a 1975 Chevy 46 passenger, partly converted with some really attractive woodwork and a small wood burning stove, only a day's drive away and close to where some of my children and grandchildren live - after delaying for days, waiting for a reply to the message I sent via the ad, I phoned last evening to find out more about the bus - turned out the seller's father had bought the bus years ago and left it in storage - had really low mileage, something like 65k kilometers ( 40k miles ) ( I forget the actual figure ) - 'said it still drove like new, brakes were good, front end was good, big block chevy motor and auto transmission - 80% tread on tires with snow tires on the back - I've been a fan of the old chevys since I owned a 69 heavy half, and a 70 chevy 3/4 ton 'Long Horn' with the extended frame and 8'6" box - my son, the mechanic in the family, is also a fan of those same old chevys, and has his own 'collectables' stored out back in what my daughter-in-law calls "Chevy Heaven", so there are most parts that might be needed outside my back door, hidden from view by lots of trees - - turned out the seller had JUST sold it, for $2500!!
