My New Neighbor

Here's my new neighbor! We're nearly twins! I haven't met the owner(s) yet. I am told that they will be moving in in a week or so.

From what I can see, it's a Bluebird on an IH chassis. Looks to be 66 or 72 passenger. The front door has been replaced with a storm door. It has an obvious A/C unit on top. That's about all I can tell. Don't know if it's gas or diesel.

The name on the bus is "Home Grown". http://www.skoolie.net/gallery2/album36

They haven't been around except to drop the bus off. They are moving from out of state. From what I have been told, they won't actually be here until "later in the week". Which week, I'm not sure.

OMG! I have to clean the bus! I can't have them come over with it all messy!

Well, I got to meet my neighbor, Sonny, the day before yesterday. He's maybe in his late 30s, and is a roofer. He's married, and a woman (that I presume is his wife) has been there the past two nights, but I haven't met her yet. I did show him my bus, and he did show me his. He just bought it from his in-laws, who used it only as a weekend camper, so while it is converted for living, it is not converted completely for full time living: it has amenities, but they are configured for temporary accomodations. He wants to make some changes to it for full time living. The primary changes that he wants to make are to add a shower, a hot water heater, a water pump/storage system (city-water hook up only), and plumb a toilet (porta-potty currently).

The layout is (from front to back) living area; kitchen area; bedroom; and bathroom. I think it's a very nice layout. He shouldn't have any trouble making the modifications he has in mind.

Haven't had a chance to yet, but I certainly will. I only saw him for 10 minutes or so when we met, and I've only seen him for a few moments since then.
