Sometimes the transit authority will take them for free but it is hard to sell them. I have seen some of the coach seats from MCIs sell but not transit seats. Removing the seats will not be like removing skoolie seats they are not bolted through the floor.

The mounts on a lot of those are stainless too, unlike the schoolie seats.

I was just thinking about if there are any special weight considerations you will have to watch with the articulated design, there will be a lot of exra weight on the middle axle.

I bet the weight would not be a big problem in the middle because a normal transit would have the engine there. A 6v92 almost weighs as much as a small car. Did the seller have any manuals for it? I think I am going to buy that new 60'........In 12 years when it is on ebay

I agree it wouldn't be a problem ahead of the articulated part but that it may be something to consider when loading down the front of the rear half of the bus.

Kevin , what a project you have ahead of you….(you got yourself a nice bus…have to say I’m a bit jealous and amazed you picked her up for such a great price )

When you say “extreme back bathroom” …do you mean it will be at the very rear of the Bus?

This is just my opinion…But if that is what you meant….
You might want to re-think that and have the bathroom forward of the bedroom.
That way visitor’s wouldn’t be walking through your bedroom to get to the bath. Stuff like that is important if your girlfriend, wife or whoever is taking a nap…

I don’t think you have to worry about locating your Black water tanks; hot tub etc up forward of the bedroom…your bus will easily handle that load.

Just a thought… .
Michael

Now I wish I had at least gotten a license number of the converted one I saw up here. If I see it again I will get the name of the owner and see what I can learn about it for you. I will drive by where I saw it and see if I find it around this week and I'll let you know if it's still there.
