New member - 86 International S1800 9.0
Just came across this web-site, kudos to whoever thought it up. I have been in the process of converting my "white whale" only for a short time, but things are coming along smoothly. Getting a lot of good ideas from reading all the various posts.
If anyone needs a service manual for an International Bus with a 9.0 and AT545 tranny (not a real popular combo judging from several posts I've read here) I have a service/operator manual in pdf format that is about 17 megs in size. It covers anything and everything about this vehicle (from a total rebuild to fixing the fiberglass). If you want it, and your email server can handle a 17 meg file, let me know and I'll ship it out. It's acutally a military manual for a firetruck of some sorts but its all the same in the end.
I have been pleased with my 9.0, good mileage for a diesel and it has enough get-up and go for me to cruise at 60 on the highways. This was a previous US Navy bus, so I don't think they did any mods on it. I have all the maintenace records since she was a pup and with only 82K miles for $1300 bucks, I think I got a good deal.
Looking forward to being a part of the board.
Richard (Moby - the white whale) You'll see what I mean when I post some pics.

Service Manual
Hey, Moby!
I'd sure be interested in having that manual! I'm about to buy a 1985 IHC 9.0/AT545 (if I can get the insurance to come together.) My e-mail is cevonk(atsignhere)aol.com Thanks for offering!
Some questions for you:
How many seats is your bus? What kind of mileage are you getting with that combination so far? What is your top speed?

Welcome, Moby!
I'd like a copy, too! I don't have a diesel, but a lot of the other stuff may apply to my '82 International.
My e-mail address is: mailto:griffgrumbein@yahoo.com
Thanx a bunch!

Sounds like a great deal on the bus. I personally like the 9.0 it is not the most powerful engine but it sure is good on fuel.

Hey there Moby! We are getting close to finishing our build and I have scoured the net for a manual to no avail and then I ran across your page. Unfortunately this link you have posted to the manual no longer works. Any chance I could get the file?

Hi Moby,
I would love a copy of the manual, as I have the same bus, however, the link is broken. Do you by chance still have it? Could you upload it to Dropbox or send it to me?
Much appreciated!

Did you ever locate a copy of the manual? If so, I would love a copy. Let me know!
