New owner - Ideas/ floorplans?

A few buddies and I just purchased a'91 International and now are in search of ideas for floorplans. We WILL steal shamelessly!

Anyone know of any sights that has some good ideas?

The bus will be used for everything from Nascar events, tailgating for Cowboy games to cycling events so we will need to be creative to ensure the set-up meets all of our needs...any ideas you have would be appreciated.

Jim

welcome !

you might just want to have some bunk beds on each side , some shelving unit for the cooler and storage in the back for the rest of the toy's .....the trick is to keep it cheap....
good luck on the reno's

I will take some pictures as soon as I can, but hopefully I can describe my floor plan to you.

In the back is my bedroom. It has a twin bed along one side with storage on the other. It is about the length of the twin bed.

On the other side of the wall is the bunk room. It has 4 beds of a custom size similar to a long twin. A walkway goes down the middle.

After the next bulkhead wall is a shower on one side and a toilet on the other with the walkway continuing down the middle.

On the shower side (entrance door side) on the forward side of the bulkhead is the stove, sink, and other storage space. In front of that is the couch which butts right up to the entrance stairs.

In front of the toilet bulkhead is the entertainment center containing the fridge, TV, Playstation, etc. It sits kitty-corner so people on the couch can view. Between the entertainment center and the drive seat will be a dinette though it is just a card table for now.

As I said...I will get pictures as soon as possible. My bus is not a full timer, but rather a long weekend getaway party type bus. It is designed to sleep 6 very comfortably with all the necessities. Space is tight and storage minimal unfortunately due to the sleeping arrangements, but it works well for my needs.

I was able to "sketch" up a design using some RV layouts and Photoshop. You can see my efforts at:
http://virtualacreage.com/bus_pics

The layout that I hacked up came from:
http://www.evolutioncustomcoach.com/...floorplans.htm

This is good for rough fit and brainstorming, but detailed plans need to be done up with exact measurements. Or not!

Be prepared to fudge a little. We did all our plans up to the inch, but when it came time to actually build things changed a little. If you plan to remove some of the windows it might be easier. We had to get the bulkheads to line up with the windows so we were somewhat limited. Needless to say the bathroom is not very large, but the beds will accomadate a 6' 6" person quite comfortably.
