OK bus nuts What is it ???
So i picked this rig up behind an old bar that used to be a paint and body shop, story is it drove John Wayne " The Duke" to the movie set up the river road to professor valley , on the frt right hud there is a ford stamp. Alu. and steel sheets screws and rivets both used, any ideas ??

Definitely NOT a Gillig.
It looks an awful lot like a Western Flyer from western Canada with a vintage of around 1950-1959.

I'm with Cowlitz. Definitely looks like a Western Flyer. They made some pretty trick buses in their day and as I recall most, if not all were aluminum bodied. Shame the front end has been scavenged, they had a pretty cool kinda art deco, winged grill arrangement.

I'm not quite seeing western Flyer...
Google hasn't been too kind, but A Kenworth model 610 has some similarities, as well as something called a Pony Cruiser. No dead matches that I have found though.
Any other clues? Looks like it was a front engine, but the grill has been covered up? Maybe not?

Yes it started as a frt engine ! later someone made it a rear engine, the diff. is pointed back., I've been looking for early years of the flyer but can't find pics . Another friend said maybe a Fitzgerald ?

Bryce? Cultural? Agricultural? Cedar City is easy to see, but the stuff on top isn't.

So i found some older flyer pics and there are some details that are throwing me off , door hinges are massive on the flyer and mine are not , also the interior , which i will take some pics today and post them, the dash is huge on the flyer and mine is not , the door opening mech. is really eccentric these could be good tips ill show you later , thanks again for all the input, the inter web does have its positive sides !!

Is it body on frame or unibody?
You said converted to rear engine from front
Any pictures of how they got it in there?
Was it a "flat" engine like they turned them on there sides in the crowns? reason why I asked is the back door is still on it
Where is radiator, and intake etc?
