I don't think you want to do that. Not much sticks to my elastometric coating. If you use a foam roller and apply in several thin coats (don't load the roller up heavily and allow dry time between) it will make a lightly textured surface. Should look okay on the roof.

Dont try and topcoat the rubber paint! You will have a mess that makes correcting your "so-so body work" look like child's play.

Which it is, but then again, I have a P+B shop.

My suggestion: put some more labor into your body work, etch primer, wet sand with 400 grit, prime with 2K primer, wet sand with 600 grit, top coat with an industrial acrylic enamel. Get suggestions from the paint store about the proper reducer, let them know how you intend to apply it.
