Question Opinions on this Bus

It's a 1984 International with a ward body short bus with a 6.9 liter V8. Also has hydraulic brakes and 98K miles. The model number is S1753. Has either a 545 transmission or 643 but I'm not 100 percent sure. Any advice would appreciated.

Pretty reliable engine when fresh, everything is mechanical on it so depending on your abilities with a wrench and preferences for operating systems that is either very good or very bad. Hopefully you aren't into the race scene because it will struggle to get up to the highway speeds today, especially if its loaded. If it has been used and maintained up to this point it should be alright mechanically to use, just keep in mind that all of that rubber and all of those gaskets are 36 years old so if its been sitting around the last 10 years not being used expect things to happen. As long as the metal is good on the bus body you should have a solid frame to build off of.
