Question Painting the bus (heat/cooling)

Hi, My friends and I are narrowing down the colors we want to paint our bus and We are debating on whether or not the sides of the bus should be a lighter color like the roof. Our roof is white already but I think that the sides being dark would just add even more surface area for heat to be absorbed.

The other side of the debate is that the sides to not get as much direct light as the top and therefore with a little insulation magic, it would not be an issue.

Any ideas?

Thank you very much!

I would paint it all white.

Belly I would paint black though.

It makes a massive difference.

Someone posted a link to a chart showing color temperatures a while back.

Someone may chime in again.
