Possible Swap from a 5.7L Chevy CNG to a Gas 5.7 or LS

Hi, I'm thinking about purchasing a bus (2000 Bluebird Minibird) and the motor in it is dead. Its a 5.7L Chevy CNG motor from 1997 and I was wondering if it could be swapped with a Gas 5.7 or even an LS like a 6.0L Chevrolet motor. There are also some TC2000 RE/FE buses and I was wondering if those could have gas motors in them. Thanks everyone!

Yes

Very much could do a swap. I would consider everything from vortech v8’s to LS to gm 8.1 with 1000 series Allison. A 6.5 v8 diesel should fit in the hole too.

If it was me I'd go back with a 5.7 just a gas version. A carbeurated 5.7 would by far and away be your easiest swap.

But truth be told I'd pass on the bus altogether and find me a diesel one. It will almost always be cheaper and easier to find a running bus with the right components than engine swap.
