Re: Price check in aisle 3

sounds like it may be a $500.00 bus. Maybe if it was on the road and safty check it would be worth more. I m in ontario canada I paid $5775.00 for a 1999 full size bluebird t444e it came with a full saftey, air polution test , came from a school bus service. (188000kms)
I would check out the school boards buses, they are much better shape and well maintained

something that has just been sitting around for years most likely there will be a lot of mechanical work to do, and that means $$$$

if your up the work and can get the price down then go for it

just my 2 cents

Tires are spendy as well as the back windows... You can skin the other broken windows with sheet metal...

I paid $1000 for mine, it sat for a bit... But the mechanical, tires, body, chassis, and auto snow chains mad the price worth it...

I build a lot of stuff and vehicles are a big hobby of mine, so I am willing to take on more of a project than others...

I would talk to him about your concerns and see what kind of a price he's willing to drop to...

Re: Price check in aisle 3

I would agree it sounds like $500 bus at best. If he's starting at $2000 I doubt he'll get down to a decent price. I thought I paid a bit much for my bus at $2800 when everything was working 100%. The only reason I went that high is I wanted a short bus and didn't want to wait for the summer trade ins so the selection was a bit thin for the size I wanted. I would keep on shopping there are plenty of buses to choose from out there.

Re: Price check in aisle 3

I know everything in Alaska costs more but, in 2009, we paid $1400 for a 40 ft 1986 Blue bird All American (flat nosed). New filters/oil, good tires (only 1 yr old) all around, no broken windows and turned out, 3/4 tank of diesel (190 gal tank). And it ran. The radiator was badly repaired and we got it fixed in TX on the way out here to NM ($800+).
