I just spent about a month fabricating a wall like this, starting here in my build thread: https://www.skoolie.net/forums/f11/r...tml#post387303

I'm gonna be kinda mad if you actually find something like this pre-made.

If your project is a 3500 Chevy like in your profile you have either a van or a van cutaway front end, probably a box truck. Look for a "cargo partition" or "security gate" from a private seller or salvage yard that takes in commercial vehicles.

thank you very much. For some reason, I had it in my mind that I had to have the cage in the "bus" part of the build and not the "van" front. hence the looking for the prison cage. I wanted the cage to be in back of the passenger seat that I put in. Something about putting my fiance on the other side of a cage bothered me. I'll go with it though.

love the build. I have zero skills with building with metal. It looks great though

I also had zero fabricating skills when I bought my bus. A skoolie (especially a badly rusted one) is a great opportunity to learn, though. These pre-built security cages can probably be had relatively cheaply, but the materials for my wall were only about $150 (the expanded steel sheet was most of that; the windows were free).

You could also build a partition wall with 2x4s, which would be a lot cheaper and easier. If you're planning to insulate the wall, it would be the same thickness anyway.
