Problems problems oh what fun they are

Is there any companys that are idot friendly that I can get air break parts ? I need the two back "cans" and would anyone know about how much they might be? The'll be going on a 1988 Blue Bird.
On this same bus there are two roof A/C, for some reason if I turn the front unit down diffrent lights on the celling go off, tunn the knob and those will come on and others go off. The lights and A/C are not even on the same breaker!

As usual any help or ideas are welome!!

If you are removing the rear brake cans, you better know how to "cage" the spring brake cans. Some serious hurt there. If you look close, there are caging bolts kept by the spring brake cans.

Re: Problems problems oh what fun they are

I work for a Truck Dealer (delivering the parts), not sure what they cost but I can check out pricing tomorrow. I think they run about $50-100 each depending on who you get them from. They are called "Air Brake Chambers" and the rear ones have spring brakes (parking brake) in them usually sized at 3030, front air chambers are smaller as they don't have spring brakes on them. (3030 is the duals, a 30 is the single that goes up front).

Are you sure it's the brake chambers? What kind of problem you having??

One word to the wise, don't try and open up those spring brakes, they are under extreme pressure and have been known to kill people that try and open them up...

Check out some prices here...

Re: The Electrical:

Are you connected to a 50-amp, 240-volt shoreline? It sounds like an open neutral, and the 240-volts is being 'shared' by both 120-volt hot legs with no neutral to balance the loads. Turn everything off and fix this, because without a neutral to maintain 120 volts per side, your appliances can see excessively high or low voltages based on what's turned on on the opposite 120-volt hot leg.

If you are not connected to two legs of a 120/240 volt system, give some more information about your set-up to go on.
