Propane through floor
I'm looking to mount and run my propane soon. Going to make the run as short as possible, so my stove is mounted above the water heater, nothing else using propane right now. The plan is black pipe under the bus and flexible copper inside.
My question, though, is how do I go through the floor and secure it? I was considering a floor flange, but I'm reading that these are not designed to hold the gas, but are instead used to run a pipe through. This kind of defeats the purpose of the floor flange to begin with, then.
Another option is simply run the black pipe through the floor, but how do I secure it so it doesn't bounce around or pull loose?
Pictures of your current setup and suggestions would be much appreciated!

Hops this helps!

While you’re thinking about how to do it, here’s the NFPA code. You can get free access.

So looks like floor flanges are actually out of the picture, and instead I should run the pipe straight through the floor and use a grommet.

So I'm finding a lot of the bulkhead fittings for propane work well with brass or CSST, but nothing that goes well with the black pipe. Unless I'm looking in the wrong places, which is possible.

also Check the appliance connection part. There’s a thing about the flare that I haven’t worked out yet. What is it, 33 degrees and not 45? Something like that. I need to work that out soon.

Ahhhhhh, didn't see the black pipe part... could be a challenge finding a good one for that...

We ran the black pipe up through the floor and with an elbow below and an elbow and a valve just after it comes inside, the fittings are sandwiched by the floor so they don't move. The nipple was just the right length so there's no vertical movement. I drilled the hole in the metal floor a little large, and wrapped the pipe in silicone tape to act as a sort-of grommet
