Sure can, you'll want to warm up your sealants along with yourself.

Just bear in mind what will happen when the new sheet metal gets hot in the summer and expands. Sheet aluminum, as long as it's not too thin, won't ripple as much as thin steel, but aluminum has twice the coefficient of thermal expansion as steel, so neither choice is ideal! Some converters heat up the new sheet metal with propane heaters before riveting it in place. I used 0.080"-thick 6061 aluminum to cover the two windows on each side that I removed, but I attached it with 3M 5200 marine adhesive/sealant that's flexible enough to allow some slight expansion/contraction. So far, so good!

Just store the tubes in your pants. Helps at the club, too.

I've done this, but not at a club, I was at the beach. Learn from my mistake. Put the tube in the front, not the back. 💩

I did this at the beach too, but my mistake was using a Portuguese man o' war.
