Do you know what it is saying?
"Get off the fence and just buy a bus to convert!"
Really, you folks over think buying a bus. It's real easy. Decide what's the longest bus you want. Decide what's the shortest bus you can live with. Decide what you want to spend. Have that ready in CASH. Use SearchTempest to search Craigslist for bus in a 500 mile radius of your location. Search other sources. When you find something that meets your criteria (length) and within 1K of your budget. Contact. Ask if they have the title in hand. If not, they aren't really interested in selling. Look elsewhere. If you think it might work. Offer $100 or $200 less than your budgeted amount. DO NOT GO OVER YOUR BUDGET!!! Be ready to hand over the cash right on the spot. Have the lowest amount already counted out and in an envelope (hint: backpacks are handy for carrying large amounts of cash). Add the "extra" from your wallet. Bring a fully charged cranking battery (we used standard auto battery) with you and a brand new empty fuel can. That way no matter what you buy (diesel or gasser) you can put fuel in the brand new can.
You will never find the PERFECT bus. Deal with that and move one to a slightly less than perfect bus.
